Strengthening California's Home-Based Child Care
Child Care Initiative Project (CCIP)
The Child Care Initiative Project (CCIP) is a program that supports home-based child care providers. This includes those wanting to get a family child care license, currently licensed providers, and those who do not need a license (for example: family, friend and neighbor caregivers). This free program is available in Child Care Resource and Referral (R&R) organizations in every county in California.
CCIP Offers:
- Training on child development, running a child care business, health and safety, working with children with disabilities and much more
- Dedicated staff who give individual assistance on getting licensed, and all things related to child care
- Activities for grandparents, aunts & uncles, friends and neighbors who care for children
- Many program staff speak the languages that match those in their communities
Quality Counts California
Quality Counts California (QCC) is a statewide effort to strengthen California’s early learning and care system to support young children and their families.
